The Healing Lounge Pakistan brings together several kinds of support, and people arrive on the platform looking for different things.
Yet many eventually reach the same question:
What exactly is The Healing Lounge Pakistan?
It is a reasonable question because The Healing Lounge Pakistan does not fit neatly into one familiar box.
At first glance, you may see psychologists, therapists, life coaches, hypnotherapists, nutrition professionals, relationship support, online consultations, mental-health resources, and educational articles all living under the same platform.
And naturally, that can raise more questions.
Is this actually a clinic?
- Is it an online therapy platform?
- A wellness company?
- A directory of independent practitioners?
- A mental-health publication?
And perhaps the more important question:
Is The Healing Lounge Pakistan genuinely legitimate or simply another website using the language of mental health and wellness?
Those are exactly the kinds of questions people should ask before trusting a platform with something as personal as their mental health, relationships, family problems, or wellbeing.
The answer, however, becomes much simpler once you understand how The Healing Lounge Pakistan began, why it was built the way it was, who works through the platform, and what happens when someone actually reaches out for help.
So before you choose a practitioner, trust something you read here, or book a consultation, it is worth understanding exactly what this platform is and, just as importantly, what it is not.
Why The Healing Lounge Pakistan Was Started
Pakistan does not lack people who need support. The World Health Organization estimates that approximately 32.4 million people in Pakistan require mental health care, according to its 5 October 2026 statement [1]. What it often lacks is an easy, private, and comfortable way to take the first step.
Mental health support can still feel difficult to reach. The problem is not always the lack of help. Sometimes, the hardest part is knowing where to start, who to trust, and how to ask for help without feeling judged.
Taking the First Step Can Feel Difficult
Think about what asking for help can look like in real life.
- A university student in Multan may not know how to find a psychologist without asking relatives questions she is not ready to answer.
- Someone in Karachi may live ten minutes from a clinic but still worry about being seen walking inside.
- A married man in Faisalabad may have grown up believing that stress is something a man should carry quietly.
- A couple may spend months wondering if counselling means their marriage has already failed.
- A Pakistani engineer in Dubai may find many therapists online, but still struggle to find someone who understands the pressure of being the responsible son who supports the family back home.
These are examples of common situations, not individual client stories. But many Pakistanis will recognise them.
Mental Health Is Still Hard to Talk About
When people do speak about their struggles, they often hear things like:
- Bas dua karo.
- Dhyan mat do.
- Move on karo.
- Mazboot bano.
- Log kya kahenge.
- Tumhein kis cheez ki kami hai, phir depression kyun?
Sometimes these words come from love. Sometimes they come from fear or a lack of understanding.
But they do not always help someone who is lying awake at 3 a.m. with a racing heart, constant worry, or thoughts they cannot switch off.
People need a space where they can talk without being judged.
Finding the Right Kind of Help Is Also Confusing
There are practical problems too.
Many mental health professionals are based in larger cities. Visiting a clinic may also feel uncomfortable for people who worry about privacy.
Then there are all the different titles:
- Psychologist
- Therapist
- Counsellor
- Psychiatrist
- Life coach
- Hypnotherapist
For someone looking for help for the first time, this can be confusing.
They may not know who they need. They may delay getting support. Some may even choose the wrong kind of professional and then assume that therapy itself does not work.
Why We Created The Healing Lounge Pakistan
The Healing Lounge Pakistan was started in 2023 to make this process easier.
The Healing Lounge Pakistan is a curated professional platform of three women coaches who founded it and added their trusted connection, a psychologist into a team. It is not an automatic, open self-listing directory. Practitioners are not automatically added by creating a listing. If the founding team decides to add new professionals they review potential professionals, their background, experience, trust and suitability and conduct several rounds of interviews and checks before finally adding them to the platform.
That selection process does not replace your own questions about a practitioner’s qualifications, approach or fit for your needs.
Our goal was to offer online support, explain different kinds of professional help in simple language, and make the experience feel more familiar for Pakistani clients.
We wanted people to find support within a Pakistani cultural setting instead of feeling like they were using a system built for someone living in a completely different society.
Privacy, culture, family pressure, religion, relationships, and social expectations can all affect mental health. Good support should understand that.
We Make It Easier to Talk Before You Book
Choosing a professional can feel like a big commitment, especially when you have never asked for this kind of help before.
The Healing Lounge Pakistan offers a free 10-minute introductory consultation. This gives you a chance to ask questions before deciding whether to book further sessions; it is not a full therapy session.
Clients can also speak directly with therapists through WhatsApp. They can ask questions, understand the process, discuss their concerns, and decide whether the therapist feels right for them before starting.
There is less pressure to make an immediate decision.
For many people, that small step makes asking for help feel much easier.
What Makes The Healing Lounge Pakistan Different
We are not trying to be another giant health platform.
We focus on making mental health support feel personal, private, simple, and culturally familiar.
Clients can understand their options before choosing a therapist. They can ask questions before committing. And they can connect with professionals who work with the realities Pakistani clients often face.
That simpler and more human approach is what we want the first step to feel like.
What Kind of Platform Is It?
The Healing Lounge Pakistan is an online mental health and wellness platform serving people across Pakistan and Pakistanis living abroad.
Clients in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, smaller cities, or overseas can connect with practitioners remotely.
The platform brings together psychologists, therapists, counsellors, life coaches, and other practitioners with different areas of expertise.
This helps clients find support that better matches their needs instead of relying on one person for everything.
Sessions can be conducted in Urdu or English. That matters because many Pakistanis can explain a problem in English but feel more comfortable talking about emotions in Urdu.
What People Are Saying About The Healing Lounge Pakistan
Here are individual experiences shared about our therapists and coaches. Reviews can help you understand someone’s experience, but they do not guarantee the same outcome for you.
“I've been seeing Mr. Shafiq for couples and individual counselling, and it's genuinely been very grounding. He's helped me work through some deeply personal struggles, including trust and attachment issues in my marriage, with so much skill, patience, and care. He's used a thoughtful mix of techniques tailored to what I needed: trauma-focused CBT, body mapping exercises, and deep work on self-worth and cognitive patterns.”
Patient review for Muhammad Shafiq Langah on Marham
I've had the experience of getting therapy from Ms. Saba for more than 2 years now... Started in 2023, and I've seen myself grow immensely and strongly after the therapy... She understood my mood and my inclination, has been very professional, and is a brilliant and compassionate listener; never once did I feel judged or anything.
Review by Javaria MS for Saba Mohsin on Trustpilot
“Working with Aasia — Mindset Coach was eye-opening. Her coaching sessions helped me figure out my routine and patterns that are preventing me from achieving my ideal life. Her tools are helping me navigate myself better and fix the unhealthy patterns. Highly recommend working with her.”

What Services Does The Healing Lounge Pakistan Provide?
Emotional and psychological support
This covers the concerns people most commonly bring: anxiety, low mood and depression, stress and burnout, anger, grief and bereavement, low confidence and self-worth, and difficulty regulating emotions.
Trauma and personal history
Some difficulties are not about the present at all. Childhood experiences, emotional neglect, loss and long-standing family patterns can shape how an adult trusts, reacts and relates. The platform includes practitioners who work with trauma-focused support and inner-child work.
Relationships and marriage
Marriage counselling, couples work, in-law tensions, communication breakdown and relationship patterns are among the concerns people bring, and among the most culturally loaded. Intimacy and sexual wellness-related psychological support also falls here, offered as a psychological concern and handled with discretion.
Clinical psychology and assessment
Some concerns call for a clinical psychology perspective: OCD, panic, persistent depression or anxiety, addiction-related difficulties, and situations where psychometric or psychological assessment is appropriate. This work belongs with a suitably trained clinical professional, rather than being treated as interchangeable with coaching.
Hypnotherapy and NLP
Hypnotherapy and NLP-related approaches are offered by practitioners whose profiles describe training in those methods. They are not offered as cures for disease, and hypnotherapy is not the same thing as clinical psychology.
Coaching and personal growth
Life coaching works on mindset, confidence, habits, direction, and personal change. Our mindset coach, Aasia Bibi, also helps freelancers to build confidence when charging their clients and in many other areas.
Clinical nutrition and dietetics
Clinical dietitian consultations were introduced in September 2026. Tehreem Zafar works with sustainable weight management, weight loss, PCOS, and perimenopause nutrition. If you are comparing nutrition professionals, our guide to finding a qualified dietitian in Pakistan explains what to ask before booking.
Is The Healing Lounge Only for People With a Mental Illness?
No.
Some people seek help for conditions like depression, anxiety, panic, or OCD.
Others come for grief, relationship problems, burnout, anger, low confidence, stress, or patterns they want to understand.
You do not need a diagnosis to ask for support.
If you are unsure whether therapy may help, our guide to deciding whether you need therapy can help you think it through. You can also contact the team through the website, by email, or through the WhatsApp option on that page.
Who Is The Healing Lounge Pakistan For?
The platform may be useful for people in a range of situations:
- Individuals who want confidential support without visiting a clinic.
- Couples and individuals dealing with marriage or in-law difficulties.
- Students and young professionals under academic, family, or career pressure.
- People in smaller cities and towns with limited access to specialists.
- Overseas Pakistanis who want a practitioner familiar with Pakistani family structures and with Urdu and English.
- People with questions about nutrition, PCOS, sustainable weight management, or perimenopause.
- People who do not know which kind of professional they need.
The last group is bigger than you might think, and there is no shame in belonging to it.
Is The Healing Lounge Pakistan for Everyone?
No, it is not for everyone. The Healing Lounge Pakistan may not be the right first option for someone in immediate danger, at risk of harming themselves or others, or experiencing severe psychiatric symptoms.
It may also not be suitable when someone needs medication management, hospital care, medical detoxification, or another highly specialised service.
The Healing Lounge Pakistan is not an emergency service. In an emergency or immediate danger, seek urgent help from a local emergency service or the nearest hospital. For medication management or specialist medical care, a psychiatrist or another appropriately qualified medical professional may be needed; ask the team about current psychiatric consultation availability rather than relying on a therapy or coaching appointment. Psychologists, counsellors and coaches do not prescribe medication in those roles.
The platform is not the right choice for someone who wants only in-person consultations. Its current services are delivered online; it does not currently offer clinic appointments through this platform.
How to Get Started
We have made it simple to get started. Open the consultation form from the “Book a Session” button.
This is where you can select the therapist or coach you want a consultation with.
If you are unsure, choose “Skip Coach Selection” and the team can guide you toward the kind of professional that may fit your concerns.
The next step asks for your contact details and concerns. You can use “Skip” if you prefer to stay anonymous. Once your request is received, the form shows scheduling and WhatsApp options for the selected practitioner or the main team.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is The Healing Lounge Pakistan a clinic or an online platform?
It is an online mental health and wellness platform. Its contact identity is in Karachi, but its services are delivered online across Pakistan and internationally. It does not currently offer in-person clinic appointments through the platform.
How can I check whether the platform and a practitioner are right for me?
Read the practitioner’s profile, qualifications, training and areas of work. Ask questions about their background and approach during the introductory consultation, and check whether their role matches the support you need. Reviews provide individual experiences; they do not replace checking qualifications or guarantee an outcome.
When was The Healing Lounge Pakistan founded?
It was founded in 2023.
Are sessions available outside Karachi?
Yes. Sessions are online, so people in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Hyderabad and smaller towns can access the practitioners without travelling to Karachi.
Can overseas Pakistanis book sessions?
Yes. The platform serves overseas Pakistanis, including people who want a practitioner familiar with Pakistani family structures and Urdu/English communication. Confirm appointment times with the practitioner before booking.
Does it include a clinical psychologist?
Yes. Muhammad Shafiq Langah’s published profile identifies him as a clinical psychologist, hypnotherapist and psychometric assessment specialist. Clinical assessment and psychological care should be discussed with a suitably trained professional.
Does The Healing Lounge Pakistan have a psychiatrist?
Dr. Jan Alam has joined as a psychiatrist. His profile and consultation information are being prepared and are not yet publicly available, so ask the team about current psychiatric consultation availability. Psychiatric care may involve medical assessment and medication management; coaching and counselling do not provide that service.
Why are life coaches and psychologists on the same platform?
Different concerns call for different support. Coaching focuses on areas such as habits, confidence and goals, while clinical psychology involves psychological care and assessment within the practitioner’s training. Their presence on one platform does not make their roles interchangeable.
Does it offer nutrition consultations?
Yes. Clinical dietetics was introduced in September 2026 as a complementary branch of the platform. Tehreem Zafar’s profile describes support for weight management, PCOS and women’s nutrition, including perimenopause.
Is the first consultation free?
The platform offers a free 10-minute introductory consultation so you can ask questions and discuss fit. It is not a full therapy session. Confirm the arrangements for your chosen professional before booking further sessions.
Can I ask for guidance if I do not know which professional I need?
Yes. You can skip practitioner selection in the consultation form or speak to the team through the contact page. Explain what you are looking for so they can help you understand your options.
Are sessions available in Urdu?
Yes, Urdu sessions are available. English is also used. Discuss your language preference with the practitioner when arranging a consultation.
Conclusion
The Healing Lounge Pakistan is not trying to turn every difficult emotion into a diagnosis.
Sadness is not always a disorder, and not every problem needs a label. What it tries to do is make something simpler possible: to help people understand what kinds of support exist, to find the right person for their situation, and to have the conversations that many Pakistanis have been taught to avoid, without having to leave their faith, their family, or their privacy at the door.
If you need help choosing where to start, speak to our main representative through the contact page, where you can continue to WhatsApp or use the official email.
